On 20th April 2017 James Troop & Co Ltd hosted our third consecutive Volvo Penta Dealer day.
This year’s venue, Liverpool F.C Anfield, provided a spectacular backdrop for what would be an important day for James Troop and our dealers to discuss key information that would impact upon everyone for 2017 and beyond.
The focus of the day was competency, training, customer satisfaction and customer success. Combing these four areas reiterates the drive from Volvo Penta to become the leading engine manufacturer within the Leisure Marine, Commercial Marine and Industrial markets within the next 3 years.
“If the customer succeeds we will succeed”
To ensure both ourselves and our dealer network are able to meet the high standard required, we delivered presentations on training, performance & new structures with in the network for 2017. Training was to highlight how our dealers can improve specific training needs they would need to fulfil in order to be competent enough to work on the product and respond adequately when called upon. Performance review was critical to relay to our dealer network their performance for 2016 and how James Troop can support them with further progress in their area. Finally, Customer Satisfaction & Success, if the customer is satisfied with the service provided they will always return and as we have seen ourselves, referrals from satisfied customers are the best means of self-promotion. Whilst we operate in the commercial marine market our customers will require responses within a timely period to reduce impact on their operations; if this is achieved then ultimately they will succeed and return for our services again in the future.
By combining leisure and work we were able to provide a nice break from presentations by having a guided tour around the stadium. “Death by PowerPoint” is something we hear too often.
Our successful day came to a close with awards for two of our dealers. James Troop & Co Ltd wanted to highlight the hard work of Llyn Marines Services, Pwllheli, who have ensured excellent customer service in the area and shown great commitment to the brand. Well done, we hope you enjoy your champagne.
MJS Marine, Isle of Man, received an award from Volvo Penta for their hard work in significantly boosting their sales on the island. Keep up the hard work we hope this continues this year.
